Fat Cat: Money Sort
Privacy policy.
Last updated 29 October 2026
Fat Cat: Money Sort is a game made by TrueMagic SIA, a company registered in Latvia (5 - 23 Plavnieku iela, Riga, LV-1021, Latvia). We are responsible for the data described here (its "controller" under the EU's GDPR). For any question or request, write to support@truemagic.io.
In short
- There's no account: the game never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- It tells our server how the game is played, under a random ID made on install, so we can fix and improve it.
- Ads come from Google AdMob, which collects its own data to show and measure ads.
- We don't sell your data.
What the game sends us
- A random install ID, made when you first open the game. It isn't your advertising ID and isn't linked to your name or Google account. It's left out of your phone's backups, and reinstalling the game makes a new one.
- How you play: each level you play and how it ends (your moves, the time taken, your stars, the money you bank, and the undos, hints and extra trays you use), when sessions start and end, what you do in the vault (interest collected, boosters bought with game money, keys won, the safe's tries and loot), how you do at spotting fake bills, and when an in-game reminder shows, whether you tap it, and whether you turn reminders off. The money in the game is pretend: it isn't real money and can't be bought.
- Ads: which reward an ad was offered for, when an ad shows, whether you earned its reward, and an error code when an ad fails to load.
- The app and your phone: the app version, that it runs on Android, your language and time zone, and how the game was installed (the store's install referrer: for example, that you came from a link we posted).
- Your country: from your SIM card or mobile network, the country only.
We don't collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or files, or your precise location. Our server doesn't receive your advertising ID and doesn't store IP addresses.
Your progress, your game money and boosters, and your settings are saved on your phone, not on our server. If Android's backup is on, your phone may copy them to your own Google account's backup, which we can't see. The game also downloads its levels and settings from our server; asking for settings sends only the install ID and the app version.
Why we use it
- To run the game and fix problems.
- To balance difficulty and test improvements. Different players may get different sets of levels or slightly different settings while we compare them.
- To learn which of our posts, links and ads bring players who enjoy the game.
Ads
The game shows ads from Google AdMob, including optional videos you can watch for a reward, such as an extra tray, a hint or double earnings. Google's ad software in the game collects and shares data itself: your advertising ID, your IP address (used to estimate your general location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic data. Google uses it to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Google explains this at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires it, for example in the EU and the UK, the game asks for your consent before showing personalised ads, and requests no ads until you've answered. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off personalised ads, in your phone's settings.
Who else handles the data
- Amazon Web Services hosts our server and stores the data in Ireland (EU), on our behalf.
- Google distributes the game (Google Play) and serves its ads (AdMob), under Google's privacy policy.
Our own server doesn't share your data with anyone. Everything the game sends travels encrypted (HTTPS). If you live outside the EU, your data is sent to our server in the EU.
How long we keep it
- Detailed play data (every level and move) is deleted after 180 days.
- A short summary for each install (install date, country, how the game was installed, and daily counts of games and ads) is kept while we run the game, linked only to the random install ID.
Your choices and rights
- Stop it: uninstall the game and it sends nothing more. Reinstalling starts with a new ID.
- Delete it: email support@truemagic.io with the install ID shown in the game's menu, and we'll delete everything linked to it within 30 days. We don't know who you are, so we can't find your data without that ID.
- Your rights: depending on where you live (for example under the EU's GDPR or Brazil's LGPD), you can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your data, and object to how we use it. Write to us and we'll answer within 30 days.
- Complaints: you can complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija, www.dvi.gov.lv) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Legal basis (EU and UK)
We use play data because we have a legitimate interest in running, fixing and improving the game (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Personalised ads run only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you can change at any time from the game's menu.
Children
The game isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If a child under 13 has played and you want their data deleted, email us with the install ID.
This website
truemagic.io uses no cookies, analytics or trackers, and we keep no visitor logs. If you open a link we posted to the game's page, the page passes that link's tag (which post you came from) on to Google Play, so we can count which posts bring players.
Changes
If the game starts collecting anything new, we'll update this page first and change the date at the top.
